Be Yourself At Work (otherwise known as #BYAW) is a global campaign and movement at Capco. It’s about removing barriers and opening up new freedoms of self-expression in the workplace, because we know that diversity powers innovation.
Beyond traditional networks
We recognize that inclusion in the workplace is about more than having traditional diversity networks. True inclusion is about fostering an environment where all employees are encouraged to be themselves at work. As such, we celebrate individuality in our work environment and reject a 'one size fits all' approach in our policies, processes and management.
Capco's diversity focus now lies on the promotion of individuality within our organization, acknowledging that every person can bring something different, unique and important to the table - both internally and as we face our clients.
The firm supports and encourages an entrepreneurial outlook and independent thinking. If someone has an idea or spots a better way to do something, then they are empowered to act on this with the full support of the leadership team. This extends to our internal ways of working as well as how we work with our clients.
Standing by our values
We are committed to continuing to focus on the promotion of individuality within our organisation, acknowledging that every person can bring something different to the table. We will continue to focus on embracing difference and uniqueness – both internally and as we face our clients.
In 2020 we will identify, develop and implement strategies that address our most pressing inclusion needs, with a disability inclusion roadmap put in place by the start of 2021. In particular, we commit to prioritise a review of our recruitment processes, training and development, and working environment to ensure that they are inclusive and accessible and to identify where changes and reasonable adjustments are required.

We want to ensure that the environment we create is one where all employees feel comfortable and encouraged being their authentic selves—regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.
This goes through inclusive policies and recruitment processes, equal benefits and opportunities, and an active group of LGBTQ+ members and allies, Pride@Capco, which strives to provide the community with a safe space to be themselves at work.

Pride@Capco serves Capco’s larger #BYAW initiative by driving a culture of openness and innovation and engaging the entire Capco community.
Partnerships
The group supports the LGBTQ+ community both internally and externally through diverse partnerships with non-profits and professional organizations who help transform the larger LGBTQ+ community.
Community Engagement
Pride@Capco hosts a variety of events throughout the year to celebrate the voices and achievements of Capco’s LGTBQ+ community, allies and partners.
On October 8, 2019, the Supreme Court of the United States heard 3 different cases to evaluate whether a landmark 1964 Civil Rights law bars employment discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
Regardless of the outcomes of these cases, Capco proudly stands with the LGBTQ+ community and commits to ensuring every employee has the same chances and opportunities at our company.
