California Residents’ Privacy Notice

In accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), Capco is committed to protecting the privacy of all individuals who may interact with us.

This notice outlines how we collect, use, and protect personal information through our website, when providing services to our financial clients, when handling consumer data obtained from those clients and when applying for a job with Capco. It should be read in conjunction with
Capco’s Privacy Notice, where additional privacy information can be found.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • For business visitors and prospective clients:
    • Identifiers (e.g., name, business email, company name, job title)
    • Communication data (e.g., inquiries submitted via contact forms)
    • Website usage data (e.g., IP address, browser type, pages visited)

  • For job applicants:
    • Identifiers (e.g., name, contact information, government-issued ID)
    • Professional or employment-related information (e.g., CV, job history, qualifications)
    • Demographic data (e.g., race, gender, veteran status) for equal opportunity monitoring and compliance with FEHA
    • Automated decision-making data (e.g., results from resume screening tools)

  • For consumers:
    • Identifiers (e.g., name, address, gender)
    • Sensitive personal information (e.g., inferred racial or ethnic origin)
    • Financial information (e.g., to satisfy US fair lending obligations)

USE OF AUTOMATED DECISION SYSTEMS (ADS) IN RECRUITMENT

Capco may use ADS technologies to assist in the initial evaluation of job applicants. These tools help streamline recruitment by identifying candidates whose qualifications and experience align with the role. However, no final hiring decision is made solely based on ADS outputs.

All short-listed candidates are individually reviewed by a recruiter or hiring manager, who considers the full context of each applicant’s qualifications, experience, and fit for the role. This human oversight ensures compliance with FEHA and helps prevent unlawful discrimination based on protected characteristics.

DATA RETENTION

  • Unsuccessful job applicants: Information is retained for two (2) years from the date of final assessment.
  • Successful job applicants: Employment-related data is retained throughout employment and for an additional two (2) years after employment ends.
  • Business inquiries: Contact and communication data may be retained for client relationship management and marketing purposes.
  • Consumer information: Retained for up to 90 days.

Data is securely stored and access is restricted to authorized personnel only. Upon expiration of the retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED OVER THE PAST 12 MONTHS

In the preceding twelve (12) months, Capco has collected the categories of personal information described above. The types of data collected have remained consistent during this period and are used solely for business engagement, recruitment, and compliance with applicable laws.
