With no infrastructure, human capital or experience, a German B2B payments start-up engaged Capco in the early stages of developing their innovative Java-based payments product. Capco’s Bratislava NearBy delivery center, with its wealth of FS and IT skills and prime regional position, responded with a suitable offer within days.
The technical workshops run by the Capco SCRUM team in the first two weeks of the project identified critical design flaws and proposed workable solutions. During the subsequent two-month design phase, the client flew in a Product Owner and Chief Technology Officer, while Capco assembled a team of talented Java programmers.
A two-month implementation stage followed, with Capco experts on-site as needed, often at short notice. Although the client’s requirements changed dramatically during this phase, Capco was able to respond promptly and completed the implementation to a high standard. This led to Capco becoming the sole provider of delivery services for the start-up.
Following the successful pilot release of the new open-source technologies payments system, Capco Bratislava has been entrusted with its second major release, involving multiple new modules. The start-up secured EUR 20 million in funding, awarding Capco the support and maintenance contract.
The Bratislava NearBy Center benefits our clients by its easy reach of major Western European financial centers – we’re only 35 minutes from Vienna International Airport (Lufthansa’s CEE hub). Clients have the option of having our teams work at the Center or, if needed, they can quickly reach client’s own European sites – with minimal travel and no visa or work permit requirements within the EU.
Capco’s NearBy resources are experienced and directly comparable to the best of captive expertise. Yet, they can respond flexibly to the most complex and operationally sensitive project requirements and at a highly competitive rate.
Agile, accessible, affordable – welcome to Capco NearBy.
