To deliver on their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments, financial services firms will need to implement structured methodologies and metrics to identify, assess and validate their own ESG credentials along with those of the companies they finance, invest in or use as suppliers.
Delivering that validation – and in the process allowing financial services firms to become the arbiters of sound ESG practices across global markets – demands deep-dive into data that encompasses both financial and non-financial activities in order to quantify positive or negative ESG-related impacts.
In this presentation and interactive Q&A, Capco will look to explore the current state of ESG data across financial services – specifically, deep-diving into sustainable finance and how to source the data to inform financial services firms’ commitments to Net-Zero financed emissions.
We will examine market trends for the provision of both unstructured and structured climate data and assess how bigger traditional market providers are reacting. We will also look at the key issue on everybody’s climate agenda: how do you understand and measure the profile of a client company’s GHG emissions if they have no data to inform themselves, be it from either a lending or investing perspective.
