WARSAW, June 30, 2023 – Capco, the global technology and management consultancy, has appointed Szymon Szmejter as Head of Insurance in its Poland business, based in Warsaw. Szymon will lead Capco’s Polish Insurance practice while also supporting other insurance-related opportunities and client engagements across Central Europe and beyond.
With a background in consultancy, sales, IT and operations across the insurance and banking sectors and wider financial Industry, Szymon brings almost 20 years’ experience to his new role. He has participated in and led a number of major transformation initiatives, with a focus in recent years on cloud computing and digital transformation.

Szymon has previously held senior leadership positions at Expander Polska, Poland’s largest financial intermediary, where as a member of the Board he was responsible for key business areas including products development, sales and distribution, and new technologies, Prior to that role he was Head of Sales at Aviva Poland. Szymon holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
