EMBRACING DIVERSITY AND OPPORTUNITY
I’m a Hong Kong-born French and Scottish consultant, and, having lived and travelled in several countries throughout my life, variety in the workplace is key for me. When I joined Capco in 2021, I was happy to see there were so many ways in which I could express myself, add value to the business and continue to learn.
My primary focus is on managing projects for clients within the Insurance practice. I work with people from across Capco and the client’s own capability areas to deliver high profile and complex projects, ranging from technological transformation to regulatory change projects. I love how the projects on which Capco leads touch so many business areas across both my own organization and our clients, bringing together different skillsets to deliver one unified goal.
Unlike many other companies, Capco’s open culture allows you to interact with colleagues at all levels, which enables me to continuously progress my career. I’m someone who is highly collaborative and enjoys working on many things at once. I love how I can be assigned to a client and can still get involved in wider Capco initiatives, such as supporting client proposals and pitches, writing thought leadership pieces with colleagues from different areas of Capco, attending learning and social events, and interviewing potential new employees. I am also a member of our Mental Health First Aid committee, which supports colleagues across the business who are dealing with mental health issues. I have taken advantage of all these opportunities since joining and can already see the progress in both my personal and professional development.
Every week brings something different. I may find myself conducting interviews for the Associate Training Programme, or liaising directly with senior leaders within Capco on ways to develop and grow the business, all the while supporting my client, a leading insurance provider, to tackle its business problems and achieve its objectives.
I have led several change projects for my client, and I have had the opportunity to work alongside senior leaders across the client and Capco itself to deliver these. My current project is focused on a multi-year regulatory change programme which will directly improve customer experiences through enhanced customer journeys, products and services, all underpinned by streamlined and improved digital and data capabilities, with additional benefits for the client’s corporate culture.
All in all, I can say with confidence that I have found a home in Capco thanks to our diverse and inclusive environment, as well as the fantastic support network and a host of challenging work-related opportunities. You’re never short of things to do or interesting people to talk to here!
