WORK-LIFE BENEFITS
WOMEN'S PROFILES

At Capco, we strive to create a work environment where all our employees feel equally valued and can be themselves at work.

Women face unique challenges in business and particularly in the worlds of technology and finance, and we are committed to shaping a future in which women are welcomed, valued and included—at Capco and within society.

We are focused on developing women leaders and on improving gender balance within and outside of Capco, ensuring visibility and inclusion, addressing issues around gender equality, and celebrating professional and personal achievements of women.

“Our key goal is to make Capco one of the leading employers of women in the industry. We are focused on hiring new talent and progressing our current employees. We are committed to closing gender gaps and providing a work environment that does not discriminate.
Overcoming bias and fostering inclusion helps businesses bring diverse perspectives to the table and become more successful. This is what we stand and work for, and every day we are getting closer to a world where equality in the workplace is the norm.”

BUNDESVERBAND DEUTSCHER UNTERNEHMENSBERATER

(Federal Association of German Business Consultants): In January 2020, the working group Diversity in Consulting was launched by representatives from various consulting firms. Capco's contribution involves sharing best practices, conducting a study, and developing new ideas to actively promote diversity and inclusion in the consulting industry.
As a global consultancy, we work with a network of global partners in addition to local partners. A complete list of our partnerships is available on our global D&I website.

Our focus on advancing women in consulting and financial services includes providing women with opportunities to grow and succeed in their professional lives. Throughout the year, we organize and take part in many activities that celebrate women’s achievements and raise awareness of important issues. We also offer a broad range of coaching, networking and teambuilding opportunities to support women’s success at Capco.

WOMEN@CAPCO

A global affinity group that supports recruiting, developing and retaining more women at Capco.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

An annual, global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Every year there is a new theme which we follow with different events and initiatives in each region, giving women an opportunity to share their experiences and expectations on the topic. For example, for this year’s topic #ChooseToChallenge.

WOMEN’S STAMMTISCH

A quarterly meetings series used as a platform for inspirational women to share their knowledge and expertise. At the end of each quarter we host a Stammtisch (round table event) for all female employees. Its mission is to create a safe and familiar space for women to speak up and share their thoughts, concerns and experience. Another part of the female Stammtisch is a short talk on women related topics, prepared and presented by female colleagues. With this initiative we provide women at Capco with the opportunity to bring ideas and suggestions forward so that diversity and inclusion can be implemented to the greatest extent.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

A globally recognized time to focus on and understand the impact of breast cancer on both women and men. In October, pink is the new black, as we mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our women’s initiatives team distributes information at our offices and client sites, e.g. flyers on the topics of screening and prevention, early detection, treatment, and palliative care. In addition, the team collects donations towards efforts to provide a variety of breast cancer related services to the community. Many colleagues actively support this initiative by wearing their pink ribbons which they receive at our Pink Stations in exchange for a small donation, as well as incorporating pink into their office attire. The donations collected are matched by the management team and also, as with all such initiatives, further increased by 50 percent by Capco, in line with our global CSR policy.

PINK RIBBON FRAUENLAUF

A run for women organized by the Pink Ribbon association to raise breast cancer awareness. Our German and Slovakian colleagues participated in 2021, jointly running 125 kilometres during the month of April. Due to COVID restrictions we ran individually, but united through wearing Pink Ribbon shirts and raising awareness on each run.

To support our employees as much as possible, we offer a variety of working models to meet the demand for flexible working arrangements, including:

FLEX-TIME

Not everyone prefers to work from nine to five. Our flexible working model allows employees to fit their working time with their most productive hours of the day, based on manager approval and client projects.

PART-TIME

In cooperation with our clients, we regularly offer part-time project roles to employees who prefer or need to work on a part-time basis.

HYBRID

In cooperation with our clients, we strive to establish hybrid working models to allow our employees to work from home when possible and where this fits with client demand and project roles.

SABBATICAL

Our employees give their best to Capco and our clients - in return, we offer flexibility, for example, in the form of sabbatical leave. Whether it's simply to take a break from the daily grind or to fulfill a long-held wish to travel for several months or to pursue further education - we can support these plans. To make the sabbatical as financially attractive as possible, we offer individual savings models so that a salary portion can also be paid during the sabbatical if desired.

EDUCATIONAL LEAVE

Our employees’ knowledge and skills are of utmost value to Capco. We encourage further development not only through extensive internal training opportunities, but also by supporting external training, workshops and seminars. In such cases, we have designed a model that combines free time with financial support and is compatible with both the interests of employees and our interests as a company and those of our customers.

FAMILY SERVICE

Capco makes it a priority to assist our employees in finding work-life balance. Through partnerships with third parties, we offer support with childcare or family members care, assistance with difficult life situations and coaching programs on the topics of mental health, personal crises, and conflicts in the workplace. Capco bears the costs of the counselling and mediation provided by the family service.

PARENT-CHILD ROOM

With our parent-child room, we offer a child-friendly environment (varies by location), for employees who want or need to bring their child(ren) to the office - whether for a few hours or the whole day. There are plenty of opportunities for parents to keep their children occupied while they work or attend a meeting. This facility is also available to our employees as emergency care.
