My Name is Vidushi Kagdiyal, and I am currently a business analyst, having been part of Capco family from July 2021. Before Joining Capco India, I worked in the equity team at one of the most reputed private banks of India. I have always been interested in the finance domain. Curious to understand all about financial markets, after a degree in computer science I completed a post-graduate program in core finance.
After my first job, I wanted to navigate my career in a different direction, by way of charting the uncharted territories. I always wanted to go into the business analysis segment and since it was a new domain for me, I studied and researched it to understand the current methodologies used in industry, project tools, etc. While looking for opportunities on LinkedIn I stumbled upon Capco, did some research on the firm, went through employee testaments which made me feel comfortable about the environment and as they say “the rest is history”.
The whole hiring process was really smooth. From the initial HR contact to the top management interviewers, and the people I’ve met since joining - everyone is so approachable here.
After the initial training via Capco’s training portal and various internal sessions, I’m currently on a project with a leading multinational investment bank. As part of a team, I am responsible for the effective implementation, management, and control of critical components of the bank’s trade/transaction reporting obligations for cash and other listed asset classes.
After a smooth onboarding into the project, I have also been receiving support from all senior colleagues. In addition, seeing so many female colleagues in senior positions motivates me to perform to the best of my abilities. What I particularly admire is their approach towards work and how they balance personal and professional lives.
I am inquisitive by nature and my eagerness to learn something new never ends. I believe in incorporating the knowledge that I gain into my work and that everything I learn is surely going to benefit me in the future.
My family is my backbone. Both my parents have supported me in all my decisions. I have an elder sister who is also a working mother and someone I look up too. When I am not working, I like to travel and meet friends and read novels whenever I have free time. I find traveling extremely therapeutic. During the pandemic, Netflix became a popular entertainment for many, and since then I sometimes indulge (guiltily) of binge-watching a series or two.
