Gerhard Längst is a partner in Capco’s Germany and Austria practice, based in Düsseldorf. As part of the Complex Technology Transformation business line and Finance Risk & Compliance market offering, he drives the development of innovative solutions and blue prints in complex environments.
INDUSTRY EXPERTISE
Gerhard has 30 years’ experience in consulting and outsourcing services for banking clients in Europe. He has an extensive track record of successful large-scale program deliveries in restructuring management functions (risk, controlling, accounting, regulatory reporting) and underlying data management infrastructures. Furthermore, he managed projects concerning trading architectures, internet platforms, IT operations and strategy as well as outsourcing of application management services.
Gerhard is particularly known for his assessment of strategic investments in terms of economic sustainability and feasibility. As a program manager he successfully governs stakeholder expectations at top management level, both from a business and technology perspective.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Gerhard holds a degree in computer science and economics. He began his career at Andersen Consulting, now Accenture, in 1988. As a partner, he led Finance & Risk Management in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. Furthermore, he was managing director of Accenture Services for Human Resources Ltd. in Germany, a subsidiary focused on outsourcing services for application management. Between 2005 and 2017 he worked as independent consultant in various program manager roles at banking clients in Austria and Germany.
