I’m a Keralite, raised partly in Delhi and partly in Coimbatore. My 17 years of professional experience spans a range of different professions, from ice-cream counter sales all the way through to software front-end design and development, media business process outsourcing, HR consulting and banking operations. I am currently working as a business transformation consultant for banking projects.

When I joined Capco, I was looking to build my own personal brand while exploring my capabilities to the fullest. My initial interview was for a business analyst role supporting a global banking conglomerate. The detailed interview process reassured me that Capco was just the sort of organization I was looking to join.

My interview was with a team that was young and enthusiastic, and I was really impressed by the enterprising people that I met.

Importantly, where many companies look at what you’ve done in the past, Capco is very much focused on what you can offer in the future.

I started as a Senior Consultant 1 and have since progressed to become a Senior Consultant 2, managing a team, and working in both a Business Analyst and Project Manager role. I had always wanted to be part of a bank’s transformation journey, and Capco has provided the opportunity to work on change-the-bank initiatives across various regions and domains. It’s been very insightful.

One particularly engaging project was centered on the launch of a new contactless cashback card offering first-to-market features. This product line was expected to hit the Indian market with a bang and really give the competition a run for their money. I was part of the transformation team and worked on the customer value proposition, which involved some custom market research on existing card products.

Moving from a pay-per-service subscription to a fully owned service with two major card networks involved was an amazing journey for me. The moment I saw the marketing flex boards for the same product in our own premises, I had a high sense of belonging and pride.

Being involved across the complete product cycle really enhanced my own view of my abilities. I had responsibility for business analysis, project management and vendor management, and it was such a rich learning experience for me.

Community is a big part of life at Capco, and I’ve been involved in cross-training developers and business professionals in Agile project management and business analysis.

I have also participated in numerous Capco CSR initiatives, such as National Academy for the Blind training, Capco walkathons, and other sports and cultural activities.

Outside of the workplace, I am married to a software quality professional, and we are blessed with twin princesses who are now 8 years old. Playing team sports - especially football and basketball - is something I would be happy to do every day. I love listening to different genres of music, and I also love singing - I try not to miss any chance to take the stage! Indeed, I’ve won a few accolades over the years, including ‘Best Male Voice 1996’ from a National Fest and ‘Mr Rotaract Coimbatore 2k’ from the Rotaract Club of Coimbatore. In my earlier organizations, I have won Business Champ & Risk Champ awards at an All-India level for my contributions to operational risk management and process re-engineering.
