Hello! I'm Yong Han, a Principal Consultant based in Singapore. Who I am has definitely evolved through different seasons of life, but at my core, I'm a problem solver (almost to a fault, as my wife often tells me). I feel exceptionally fortunate to be able to indulge that passion as part of my career here at Capco.

What may surprise most people is that, although I graduated with a degree in Economics and had three years of experience at another consulting firm, I joined Capco with little to no consulting-specific skills. I had never created a PowerPoint presentation, had very limited experience using Excel for data analysis, and had never presented to client stakeholders.

It was therefore both daunting and exciting to begin my consulting career at Capco, and it's humbling to look back on all the challenges and successes that have shaped who I am today.

Over the years, I've spoken with many people who reached out to me on LinkedIn for a coffee chat about the firm. In those conversations, I almost always talk about why the people are the single biggest reason behind "Why Capco." We spend so much of our lives with the people we work with—sometimes even more than with our close friends and family—which makes it especially important to spend that time meaningfully and with the right people.

It's rare to find a workplace where the hierarchy is as flat as it is at Capco, where you're not only genuinely able but also actively encouraged to connect, collaborate, and learn from anyone in the firm, regardless of level. Add to that the diversity of personalities and talents across the firm, and there's almost always an opportunity to make a new friend or learn something new from someone.

As consultants, we often find ourselves tackling complex problems with steep learning curves and contributing in areas where we may not yet be experts. While some might find that intimidating, I find it incredibly energising. I genuinely enjoy expanding my knowledge and continuously sharpening my skills.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the many opportunities I've been given at Capco—some that I actively sought out and others that came from the trust others placed in me to contribute and grow.

At Capco, I've had the privilege of contributing across a wide range of client engagements, helping deliver meaningful outcomes by enhancing transfer agency reporting capabilities, developing strategic technology roadmaps, optimising key banking processes, bridging data sovereignty gaps, and driving delivery certainty for major transformation programmes, among many others.

Among the many successes we've achieved for our clients, one of the most memorable has been our pro bono work with Room to Read. Supporting the uplift of their Technology Operating Model to further their mission of advancing literacy and gender equality through education remains one of the most meaningful experiences of my career.

I'm a firm believer in creating safe spaces where people feel comfortable expressing themselves professionally because everyone brings unique perspectives and experiences to the table. I'm grateful that Capco's culture genuinely embraces this philosophy, bringing the hashtag **#BeYourselfAtWork** to life every day.

Looking ahead, I'm excited about what the future holds: continuing to grow as a leader, helping our clients achieve meaningful outcomes, and, hopefully, inspiring others to join me on that journey.
