1) Please introduce yourself.
Tell us who you are. How have your background/family, formative experiences and hopes/dreams shaped you as a person?
Maud: I come from a small town in Belgium where I began my studies in Business Engineering. I later moved to Brussels to complete my master's degree at Solvay, where I chose a minor in Entrepreneurship. I've always enjoyed empowering and being empowered by ideas—bringing them to life. Throughout my childhood and studies, I was heavily exposed to sustainability ideals and goals, and I’ve continuously reflected on how to apply them concretely in daily life. Over the years, my personal sustainability goals have evolved, shaped by what is feasible at my level, but they remain a key factor in the decisions I make.
2) What has inspired your career choices and what drew you to Capco?
Think about what makes Capco unique, attractive and a great fit with your aspirations.
Maud: Before joining Capco, I was working on a major transformation project where I gained experience in the insurance industry, digitalizing processes, testing, and the business analyst role. I joined Capco in 2023, and since then it’s been a journey of discovery, growth, and challenges. From the beginning, I expressed an interest in working on a banking project, and Capco gave me the opportunity to do so. I worked on a project focused on international payments and sanctions and embargoes, where I took on significant responsibilities and developed both as a business analyst and project manager in an international setting.
Capco has always supported my aspirations, offering advice and assistance when needed. It’s a place where I feel safe to take on new challenges and truly grow. The practice leads I’ve encountered have empowered people by giving them the freedom to try, while being there to support them. I am now continuing my journey as a testing manager on a digital transformation project, where I am developing.
3) What have been the key milestones and memories during both your career and personal journeys at Capco.
Think about the opportunities, professional relationships and mentors that have shaped and lit up your Capco experience.
Maud: Key milestones in my Capco journey include being trusted with responsibilities early on, especially in the banking project involving international payments and sanctions. The support from practice leads and the opportunity to grow both as a business analyst and project manager were fundamental. A major memory is being mentored by a former Capco employee on my current project, which has been incredibly enriching. The empowerment and support I’ve received at Capco, along with the meaningful professional relationships built, have significantly shaped my experience.
4) What Capco project have you worked on that makes you most proud?
Think about the successful elements, specific challenges overcome, the end-benefit for the client, and the contribution/teamwork of your colleagues on the project.
Maud: I am most proud of the banking project I worked on shortly after joining Capco, where I was involved in topics such as international payments and sanctions and embargoes. It was a challenging project where I was entrusted with key responsibilities and grew significantly in both business analysis and project management. The international context of the project, along with the collaborative environment and support from Capco colleagues, made it a rewarding and formative experience. The team’s trust and mutual support contributed to the project’s success and to my personal growth.
5) Tell us about your world beyond work.
Think about where or from whom you draw inspiration and strength, and why. Who or what do you turn to as you reflect, recharge and find balance in your life.
Maud: Outside of work, I am a certified advanced scuba diver. I love to travel and dive in new places to discover local marine life. There’s nothing more magical than diving with manta rays, turtles, or white tip reef sharks. I’m considering pursuing further diving certifications in the coming years, with goals like diving on a shipwreck and exploring the Great Barrier Reef. I also have a deep appreciation for sharks, which I believe are misunderstood creatures deserving of protection and respect.
In addition, I love to cook and often draw inspiration from the meals I’ve discovered during my travels. As a vegetarian, I’m constantly exploring new flavors and spices.
