My name is Katarzyna, and I live in Bydgoszcz, Poland. I have over 19 years of experience in financial, third-party and stakeholder management across the media, technology and financial services sectors. Throughout my career, I have been driven by a passion for finance, operational excellence and building strong relationships that enable organizations to achieve their strategic objectives.
After graduating, I joined one of Poland's leading media organizations as a Treasury Department Specialist and later - a global technology company, where I spent almost ten years progressing through roles including Project Coordinator, PMO Financial Specialist, Team Manager and Senior Business Consultant.
Sometimes the most important career opportunities appear unexpectedly. By chance, I met a friend whom I had not seen for many years. During our conversation, he shared his positive experience of joining Capco and spoke enthusiastically about the company's culture and opportunities. Inspired by his recommendation, I explored Capco's vacancies the following day and found a role that aligned perfectly with my skills and aspirations.
The recruitment process confirmed my positive first impression. My initial conversation with the HR team was professional, welcoming and engaging, while the subsequent client interview was considerably more challenging. Having not attended a formal interview for almost ten years, I found the experience both demanding and rewarding.
Joining Capco became another significant milestone. From my first day, I experienced a supportive and collaborative culture where people genuinely invested in each other's success. Shortly after joining, however, changes in client demand meant I was initially placed on the bench.
Rather than viewing the bench as a setback, I treated it as an opportunity for development. I became actively involved in internal initiatives, contributed ideas for business improvements, expanded my professional knowledge, built relationships across the organization and continued participating in client interviews. Throughout this period, I received continuous support from my manager, HR and colleagues, who encouraged me to remain confident and focused. Their commitment demonstrated Capco's strong culture of supporting its people, particularly during periods of uncertainty.
Next interview scheduled by HR led to successful placement with one of the world's largest banking and financial services organizations, where I have now worked for almost four years. I support vendor management and supplier governance activities, collaborating closely with Procurement, Finance and a wide range of other business stakeholders. Over time, I have become recognized as a trusted point of contact within my area, helping to strengthen supplier relationships, improve governance and support effective operational delivery.
What I value most about my current role is the opportunity to combine financial management with stakeholder engagement and operational excellence. Working in a complex, highly regulated environment has strengthened my analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities and ability to build trusted relationships across diverse teams.
Outside work, my greatest role is being a mother to my two daughters, aged seven and fourteen. Raising confident, compassionate and independent young women is one of my proudest achievements. I hope to pass on the values that have guided the women in my family for generations — resilience, kindness, integrity and independence.
We enjoy spending time outdoors together, taking long walks and expressing our creativity through drawing and painting.
Our family also includes Coco, our black cat, who is never far away, whether I am working from home or painting.
Art has become an important way for me to unwind and recharge. I have long admired Frida Kahlo, whose work inspires me through its honesty, emotional depth and vibrant colours. Her paintings remind me that strength and vulnerability can coexist, and that creativity offers a powerful way to express life's experiences.
In the quiet hours of evening or early morning, you will often find me in my kitchen with a paintbrush in hand. Painting allows me to relax, reflect and recharge, providing balance alongside the fast-paced and analytical nature of my professional life.
Reflecting on my journey, I recognize that every opportunity, challenge and unexpected encounter has contributed to the professional I am today. I remain motivated by continuous learning, meaningful collaboration and the opportunity to make a positive impact.
