My career has taken a few unexpected turns, and I believe each of them has helped shape the person I am today. I started my professional journey in accounting before spending several years in the hospitality industry, where I discovered how much I enjoyed working with people and building strong relationships.
After returning from maternity leave, I was given the opportunity to completely change my career by joining IBM. It was a chance to enter the corporate world, and I decided to embrace it. I initially worked in database management, but project management had always been the area that interested me most. Through determination and a willingness to learn, I successfully transitioned into a PMO role and quickly realized I had found the right path. Today, I am a proud mum of two children and one energetic dog, balancing a rewarding career with family life.
My move into project management was driven by a desire to work closely with people, solve problems and help teams achieve their goals. My journey to Capco began when a friend told me about several PMO opportunities and encouraged me to apply. The recruitment process moved quickly, and after meeting both HR and representatives from the financial services client, I knew this was an opportunity I did not want to miss. My first impression of Capco was the welcoming culture and approachable people. Despite being a global consultancy, it felt collaborative, supportive and genuinely people-focused.
One of the most important milestones has been further developing my PMO expertise while supporting complex programs within the financial services industry. Working with talented colleagues and senior stakeholders has strengthened my organizational, communication and stakeholder management skills. What stands out most is the willingness of people to support one another and the opportunities available to those who are proactive and eager to grow. I also value the work-life balance that Capco encourages.
I am particularly proud of supporting large transformation programs within the financial services sector. These initiatives required strong coordination, planning and stakeholder engagement across multiple teams. The experience demonstrated the value of teamwork, trust and resilience and showed how effective PMO support can help programs achieve their objectives while delivering meaningful outcomes for the client.
Outside of work, my family is my greatest source of inspiration and strength. A few years ago, we moved away from the city, and I have come to appreciate the calm and balance that living closer to nature provides. Hiking in the mountains, working in my garden and travelling with my family are some of my favorite ways to recharge and gain new perspectives. I also enjoy the simple everyday moments we share together. These experiences give me energy, motivation and balance in both my personal and professional life.
