In high school, I became interested in topics related to finance and the economy, so my goal was to study at one of the top economics universities in Poland – the Warsaw School of Economics. I received a scholarship (the Index Start2Star) that supports talented high school graduates from low-income families to continue their studies at top universities in Poland. Thanks to this opportunity, I was able to study financial markets and economics in-depth while also developing IT-related skills.
In the final year of my master’s studies, I started working as a Murex analyst, focusing on user-raised issues that required both functional financial knowledge and technical skills. I have always enjoyed solving problems that require complex analysis, so I was keen to develop myself in this area and work on different projects related to IT systems used in financial markets.
I knew Capco before joining, as some of my colleagues worked here and spoke positively about the company, its culture and projects. When a vacancy matching my profile came up, I applied. All the interviews were not only very professional but also conducted in a positive atmosphere. When I joined Capco, I met many professionals whose working attitude and expertise confirmed that it was a very good decision to join the team.
From my early days at Capco, I conducted training sessions for junior colleagues to prepare them for providing high-quality consulting services to our clients, also obtaining a Murex trainer certification.
I work on projects where I help clients with digital transformations by facilitating smooth transitions from legacy systems to new ones or by implementing new functionalities on existing systems.
My proudest moments are from the systems consolidation and legal entities centralization project at an international banking group. The main challenge was the need to use two systems with completely different architectures. My team designed deal-booking patterns to enable data migration while maintaining the quality of data movement.
The key element that led to success on that project was the close collaboration with the client’s employees, from both business and digital sides. We built a strong team with a common goal – to smoothly introduce a solution that reflected a new organizational model, increased the efficiency of daily workflows, reduced costs and avoided negative side effects.
After intensive work on projects, I find balance mainly through my family – my wife and two daughters. We spend time on many activities like bike trips and board games. They give me the strength to face the challenges in project delivery.
