Lance Levy is Capco’s CEO and has more than 25 years of experience in the financial, technology and professional services industries. Capco’s extraordinary growth over the last seven years is a testament to his clarity of vision and focus, highly adaptable management style, and resilient leadership.
A graduate of the University of Cape Town, Lance set out with ambitious and entrepreneurial intent, beginning his career with a number of successful business ventures before moving, in his late 20s, into senior leadership positions at Accenture in both South Africa and London. Over the next decade, Lance played a key role in guiding the significant growth of the Accenture Financial Services business as a member of both the Leadership Team and the Accenture Leadership Council, and as Senior Managing Director responsible for Global Sales in Financial Services. The business doubled in size during this period. Lance then became Senior Managing Director of Financial Services in Europe, Africa, and Latin America, leading teams across 34 countries with responsibility for $3.5B in revenues. After Accenture, Lance served on Fidelity National Information Services’ Executive Leadership Team as Head of Professional Services and CEO of Capco, playing a significant role in the strategic $5B acquisition of SunGard.
Since joining Capco as CEO in 2015, he has proved himself as a true global leader, acting immediately to both transform the business and revitalise growth by attracting talent and building new high-demand services and capabilities. In 2017, Lance led the sale of Fidelity National Information Services’ majority stake in Capco to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, a leading private equity firm, enabling a further expansion of growth.
In Lance’s seven years as Capco CEO, revenues and headcount have more than doubled, and profits more than tripled. Lance’s energy, ambition, and hands-on authentic leadership style, combining strategic insight with a relentless focus on growth and continuous operational improvement, has transformed the business. He has pivoted its focus to digital services, broadened coverage of industry segments, radically transformed the leadership, and built senior, trusted client relationships. He has moved Capco from a niche consultancy to a highly focused global management technology institution with consistently strong performance, that is now recognised in the industry as a challenger to the largest competitors in the segment.
Lance understands that success starts and ends with people. Prioritising and promoting focus on Capco’s people, he has led the preservation and continued development of the firm’s distinctive, differentiated, and diverse culture.
In 2021, Lance’s ambitious growth plans saw him lead the $1.45B strategic acquisition of Capco by Wipro, creating a market-leading partnership, with Lance, in addition to Capco CEO, taking on an additional role as Executive Sponsor for Wipro’s Financial Services business globally. As a result, both firms together provide a full-spectrum transformational value proposition to the world’s pre-eminent financial services institutions. Under Lance’s leadership, Capco continues to embrace the challenges of tomorrow and deliver outstanding growth.
