Capco Appoints Ismail Amla North America Business Leader

Tom McKelvey to focus full-time efforts as global Chief Operating Officer

Capco, a global business and technology consultancy dedicated solely to the financial services industry, announced today that Ismail Amla, head of Capco’s UK operations and a member of the firm’s Global Executive Management Team, has been appointed the North America regional business leader.

Mr. Amla will take over from Tom McKelvey, who has served jointly as Capco’s North America business leader and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. McKelvey will now devote his efforts full-time as global COO. These changes are effective July 1.

The growth of Capco’s business in North America has driven the decision to separate the roles of North America business leader and global COO. In his new role, Mr. Amla will focus on continuing to grow the firm’s business and brand in North America. Mr. McKelvey will continue to work closely with Capco’s Global Executive Management Team on leading the firm’s global operations with responsibilities covering business performance, strategy, and corporate development.

Prior to joining Capco, Mr. Amla was Senior Executive at Accenture where he was responsible for the firm’s outsourcing business in key European countries. Additionally, he led the delivery across all service lines for the firm’s largest financial services client, globally. He was also a member of the UK leadership team where he led the firm’s Human Capital initiatives.

Mr. Amla will continue to maintain his responsibilities for Capco’s Human Capital worldwide, as well as Capco’s offshore operations in India. Andrew Tarver, a Capco partner, will succeed Mr. Amla as UK Leader effective July 1st.
