Bodo Schaefer is a Partner based in Capco's Frankfurt office where he manages key client accounts and relationships within the Banking domain. He currently heads the “Complex Technology Transformation” business line in Germany and technology delivery. In addition, he is the Delivery Partner for a complex multi-year payment platform renewal program at a Tier 1 European bank.
Bodo has nearly 20 years’ experience in financial services consulting covering strategy, business advisory, and large-scale systems integration and technology transformation delivery. His professional services and industry expertise includes post-merger integration of processes and systems for global banks and exchanges.
He has successfully led process and efficiency optimization engagements - as well as offshore outsourcing programs - for leading European and global financial institutions. He has initiated, implemented and managed a number of multi-year outsourcing initiatives across multiple international locations. His expertise covers the optimization of core and non-core processes in payment services as well as employee lifecycle processes. In addition, he gained comprehensive experience in change management focusing on the critical aspects of post-merger integrations and key account management.
In his first role at another consultancy, Bodo focused on electronic trading systems for international exchanges. He then led cross-border risk management system integration projects before taking on responsibility for large-scale outsourcing engagements at leading European universal banks. Before joining Capco, Bodo held the position of Partner / Managing Director, with overall account responsibility for a global operating universal bank.
