Now, No Degrees of SEPAration

For banks who have acted less than swiftly to embrace full SEPA processing, the end of any further delays is now in sight. The European Commission will announce an end-date for legacy payments in September, 2010. Banks will have to react quickly to manage and mitigate some significant risks; including inability to process payments at pace and the corresponding reputation damage, official fines, and, not least, loss of customers’ goodwill and their business!

Acting fast to make full transition to an end-to-end SEPA payments solution could, with the right handling and positioning, be a much bigger market differentiator in 2011 than just being the first SEPA-ready bank was, back in 2008.
