Capco role and focus
John Armstrong is Managing Partner of Capco in Canada and leads client management, sales and delivery efforts in Canada, as well as managing business operations in the region.

Industry expertise
John has over 25 years of experience consulting in the banking, wealth management, and capital markets sectors on high level business strategy, technology and operations for a number of Canadian and global institutions.

Professional background
Prior to Capco, John served in a variety of senior leadership roles over more than a decade at Accenture. Most recently, he was Managing Director of the firm’s Canadian Financial Services practice.

Previously, he was Canadian Managing Director of Monitor Company, a strategy consultancy, where he co-authored, with Professor Michael E. Porter and Roger Martin, Canada at the Crossroads, a comprehensive study of Canada’s competitiveness. John began his career with the Boston Consulting Group in Boston MA.

John serves on the Ontario Task Force on Competitiveness, Productivity and Economic Progress, as well as serving on the Board of the United Way of Oakville and the Major Gifts Cabinet of the United Way of Toronto. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Harvard University with High Distinction, graduating as a George F. Baker Scholar and earned his Bachelor of Commerce, with Distinction from the University of Toronto. John also holds the ICD.D designation.
