Capco role and focus
Andreas Pfeil is a Partner within Capco’s Capital Markets domain team, where he focuses on the delivery of complex trading related programs. Andreas also manages Capco’s relationship with Murex, a leader in software development for trading, risk management and processing.

Industry expertise
Andreas has more than 15 years’ experience in Financial Services, with a strong focus on - and deep understanding of - Capital Markets. He has particular expertise in the program management of large scale international programs, in trading and settlement functional architecture and delivery covering all asset classes and processes (front to back, finance and risk).

Project experience includes:

  • Multiple projects related to OTC derivatives central counterparty introduction, including the setup of an infrastructure for credit derivatives clearing based on Calypso
  • Delivery manager for an engagement with a major German bank, which involved the complex integration of a FX / MM front to back office platform based on Kondor+ and Calypso in a post-merger environment
  • Subject matter expert and delivery manager for a Spanish bank, which involved trading architecture implementation based on Murex MX.3
  • Engagement partner for an assignment for a major Belgian bank, for a broad-reaching program which included: software selection, architecture blueprint creation, program planning and delivery for a new global FO to BO trading platform for FX and Rates products (FXD, FX / MM, IRD, Fixed Income, Repo) based on Murex and Calypso
  • Program lead for an assignment for a major Dutch bank, overseeing a global roll-out across Europe and the US for FX / MM business based on Murex

Professional background
Before joining Capco, Andreas worked for Accenture, where he held the position of partner in the system integration Capital Markets team. He started his career as a mathematical technical assistant at the research center in Jülich, and worked for several years at a midsize software company. Andreas studied at Bonn University, Germany and The Ohio State University, OH, USA. He holds a Diploma in Mathematics with a Minor in Physics.
