Capco role and focus
Alexander Bommes is a Partner in the Finance, Risk and Compliance group based out of Capco's Frankfurt office. He is also responsible for the expansion of Capco's Düsseldorf office.

Alexander has deep expertise in corporate and retail banking, as well as in credit products and processes. He has successfully led major organizational and process transformation programs for globally leading banking clients and Financial Factory organizations.

Industry expertise
Alexander focuses on compliance and regulation in the financial services industry. Over the course of the last fourteen years, he has been responsible for a range of transformational programs focusing on themes linked to a wider range of regulatory legislation such as IFRS, Basel II/III, MARisk, FATCA, Collections & Recovery, Covered Bonds and IT compliance for large multinational clients in Germany, Europe and Asia.

In addition, Alexander has deep subject matter expertise in SAP and topics related to IT architecture across the entire banking value chain from front to back office.

Alexander's clients cover corporate and retail banks, special finance houses such as automotive captives and mortgage banks, and multinational corporates.

His latest paper “Regulatory Reporting Factory” outlines Capco’s offering providing a regulatory reporting outsourcing solution for financial services providers. Capco’s “Regulatory Reporting Factory” enables the optimization of existing structures and procedures, and a quick and efficient response to new regulatory requirements.

Alexander has also written many articles, and has been featured in key trade press, including Risiko Manager, where he describes the advantages of outsourcing a firm's regulatory reporting requirements.

Professional background
Alexander started his consulting career with KPMG Consulting, focusing on the banking industry in combination with logistics. Afterwards he worked for BearingPoint, where he was co-lead for Risk & Finance.

Before joining KPMG he worked as bank auditor for Deloitte & Touche performing annual audits, WPHG audits etc., with a specialization on automotive and leasing companies.
Alexander started his career in financial services working several years for Deutsche Bank and DWS in Germany and Spain.

Alexander holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Cologne, Germany. Furthermore he completed the PIM/CEMS program with studies at the Stockholm School of Economics.
