Capco role and focus
Alex Schlicher is a Partner based in Frankfurt, Germany, where he leads Capco’s German Capital Markets practice. He is also responsible for the development of Capco's presence in the Nordic region, building on the firm's growing client base in this area.

Industry expertise
Alex has considerable knowledge of Capital Markets, particularly in derivatives products. His industry coverage ranges from sell to buy-side clients, as well as market infrastructure players. His experience and expertise includes helping financial institutions to reduce complexity and cost across their IT and business lines; he also has experience in the design and delivery of roadmaps to support compliance with new regulatory standards (European regulations). He has successfully delivered large change programs aligning processes and IT front-to-finance across multiple asset classes and locations, including shoring solutions.

Alex is actively involved in the development of Capco's thought leadership and has recently authored "MX.3 Upgrade: Time for enhanced, cost-effective regulatory compliance.".

Professional background
Alex has over 15 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry, with a primary focus on Capital Markets. He began his career in trading and risk roles at leading financial institutions before moving into consulting with Accenture. He then headed up the business operations in the German speaking countries of City Practitioners Limited, which was acquired by Capco in 2007.
